How your visit works
From your first call to your follow-up back home, we make it simple to treat your veins during your visit.
Reach out & share your history
Call or book online. We gather your medical history and any recent imaging or photos of your legs so we understand your veins before you arrive.
Remote consultation
A specialist reviews your case by phone or video and walks you through what treatment would likely involve, so there are no surprises when you get here.
Your in-office visit
Once you're in California, you come in for a painless ultrasound. In most cases, treatment happens the same week, often in a single short appointment.
Follow-up from home
You leave with clear aftercare, and we check in remotely. If needed, we coordinate with your physician back home in Canada or your home state.
Send this ahead of your visit
A little prep means your California trip is spent on care, not paperwork. Share what you can before you arrive:
A note on cost & coverage
Canadian provincial plans and most out-of-state insurance don't cover elective care in California. We keep this simple and transparent:
You get clear, itemized pricing up front, plus the documentation to submit to a private insurer or keep for your records.
Traveling for treatment, answered
The questions out-of-town and Canadian patients ask us most.
Yes. Many of our patients travel from Canada, often Vancouver and Calgary, and from the Pacific Northwest, including Seattle and Portland. They frequently winter in the Palm Springs and Coachella Valley area and have their treatment while they're here. Because our procedures are minimally invasive and usually take under an hour with no downtime, they fit easily into a visit.
Absolutely. We begin with a remote consultation by phone or video, review your history and any recent leg photos or imaging, and plan your care in advance. That way your in-person visit can often include both your ultrasound and your treatment in the same week.
Canadian provincial health plans and most out-of-state U.S. insurance generally do not cover elective care received in California. We're transparent about costs up front, with clear, itemized pricing and documentation you can submit to a private insurer or keep for your records.
Most vein procedures are done in a single short visit with little to no downtime, so you can continue your trip the same day. If more than one session is recommended, we do our best to schedule around your travel dates.
Any recent ultrasound reports, a list of your medications, and clear photos of the veins that concern you. Sending these before you arrive lets us plan efficiently, so your time in California is spent on care rather than paperwork.
Yes. We provide complete records and aftercare instructions, and we're glad to communicate with your home physician so your follow-up is smooth once you return to Canada or your home state.
Insurance
When your veins cause symptoms like aching, swelling, or skin changes, treatment is typically considered medically necessary, including under Medicare. We'll help you verify your benefits.
