Dr. Armin Foghi is a board-trained cardiologist with subspecialty expertise in the interventional management of superficial venous disease. He holds both an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology and Biochemistry, credentials that supported his molecular cardiology research during his fellowship at the University of New Mexico.
Combining his backgrounds in cardiology and vascular medicine, Dr. Foghi provides comprehensive care for patients with cardiovascular and venous disorders. His vascular expertise encompasses the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins, venous reflux disease, and related symptoms. He is proficient in advanced procedures such as radiofrequency ablation, endovenous laser therapy, cyanoacrylate ablation, and ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy. In addition to clinical practice, he serves as an educator and lecturer for multiple national and international venous therapy organizations.
Throughout his career, Dr. Foghi has held numerous leadership positions, including serving as Chief of Cardiology at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. He founded Myo Vein Clinic in New Mexico and was a key contributor at La Jolla Vein & Vascular, both of which earned recognition as Centers of Excellence under his guidance.
Dr. Foghi is also the co-founder of Vein Optimization Solutions, a company dedicated to developing Centers of Excellence across the United States and supporting experienced vascular physicians with advanced knowledge and expertise in venous care. These achievements underscore his commitment to advancing high-quality, patient-centered vascular medicine.
